Microsoft 365 for Students

Microsoft 365 (M365) is available to every student free of charge.

With this version, you can install M365 on up to five compatible PCs and Macs, plus five tablets. You also receive 5 TB of OneDrive storage for automatic device syncing.

This subscription is not available to continuing education students or alumni.

Applications in this subscription include:

  • Excel
  • OneDrive
  • OneNote
  • PowerPoint
  • Word
  • Outlook
  • Copilot

Installation Instructions

PC and Mac

  1. Go to portal.office.com.
  2. Log in with your Laurier username and password.
  3. Go to the Apps and Devices tab.
  4. Select 'Install apps'.

iOS and Android

  1. Download the Microsoft application from your app store.
  2. Log in with your Laurier username and password.

Requesting Third-party Add-on Apps for M365

There are a wide variety of M365 third-party add-on applications that have been approved for use at Laurier and can be requested for use with your Laurier account (e.g., Mendeley and Zotero).

Please note that admin permissions are required to install add-ons – if you try to install the add-ons yourself, you may receive a pop-up message asking you to contact your System Administrator. To get access to an approved add-on, please contact the ICT Service Desk at support@mylaurier.ca. 

Upcoming Graduates Information

Your Laurier provided M365 subscription will expire on the last day of exams.

If you wish to keep your files from your Laurier M365 account, you must transfer your files from the account to a personal drive or storage space.
