Connecting with Advising

The Science Academic Advising page provides important advising information, resources, and forms for Faculty of Science students. 

All academic advising and course registration inquiries should begin by submitting the  Faculty of Science Academic Advising Inquiry form. The form will direct you to relevant resources and, when additional assistance is required, connect you with the appropriate advisor, department, or office at Laurier. 

Submitted inquiries are reviewed by the Faculty of Science Academic Advising Office (Science Building, N1054) during regular university office hours, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 

Kinesiology Advising

Kinesiology students can receive program-specific advising from Dr. Phil Medeiros, Undergraduate Officer, regarding topics such as degree requirements, course planning, program progression, and other Kinesiology-specific academic questions, by submitting the  Faculty of Science Academic Advising Inquiry form.

Walk-in Advising Appointments:

During the Fall 2026 term, walk-in Kinesiology advising is available: 

  • Wednesdays, 11:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m (BA516). No appointment is required during walk-in hours. 

Advising Appointments:

  • Advising appointments are recommended for questions or circumstances that require a more detailed discussion and cannot be effectively addressed through email or the Academic Advising Inquiry Form. 
  • Before attending an advising appointment, students are encouraged to review the relevant program requirements and advising resources (found on  Kinesiology Academic Advising MyLS page) and come prepared with specific questions.

  • The Kinesiology Academic Advising MyLS page, is regularly updated with important Kinesiology program information, announcements, and resources, including: 
    • Course registration information 
    • Course outlines 
    • Degree and program planning resources 
    • Important academic dates, reminders, and announcements 
    • Volunteer opportunities and experiential learning opportunities 
    • Department policies and procedures 

    Students are encouraged to review the MyLS resources before submitting an advising inquiry, as answers to many common questions can be found there.
