COVID-19 Immunization Information

band-aid image

The Student Wellness Centre on the Waterloo campus does not currently have any future COVID-19 immunization clinics planned.

Brant County Health Unit is operating regular vaccine clinics at various locations in Brantford and the County of Brant. Visit the BCHU website for more information.

If you are looking for the soonest possible appointment in Waterloo, visit Waterloo Region Public Heath. The closest vaccine clinic to campus is the Boardwalk Clinic.

For vaccine clinics in your area, visit the provincial COVID-19 immunization booking portal.

If you received your first dose outside of Ontario, make sure you report it using the Out of Province COVID Immunization form before you receive your second dose.

Service Update

The Student Wellness Centre will be closed on Monday May 23, 2022.

You will be advised at the time of booking whether your appointment is in person, over the phone, or over video.

We require 24 hours notice for cancellation. There is a no-show fee for late cancellations and no-shows. See our fees page for more information.

On the Waterloo campus, we are open from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays and from 9 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.

On the Brantford campus, we are open from 8:30 am to 4 pm.

  • Please call us to book an appointment with a physician, nurse, mental health nurse, or counsellor;
  • Everyone entering the Student Wellness Centre is required to bring their own mask and wear it at all times and show their green badge from their daily COVID-19 Self-Assessment form in the SafeHawk app.
  • If you are experiencing a new or worse cough, shortness of breath, fever, or have had close contact with a confirmed or probable case of COVID-19, go to the Government of Ontario COVID-19 page.
  • The SWC does not have any rapid antigen tests.  Starting December 31, 2021, per government of Ontario guidelines, publically funded PCR testing is only available for vulnerable individuals with significant medical issues, and residents and staff in the highest risk settings, such as hospitals and LTC retirement homes.  As a result, we cannot offer COVID testing at the Student Wellness Centre.  This means most individuals with a positive result from a rapid antigen test will no longer be eligible for a PCR test and will not be required or encouraged to get a confirmatory PCR test.  Symptomatic individuals who are not eligible for a PCR test and do not have access to a rapid antigen test should assume they have COVID-19.  Visit the Ontario self-assessment page for guidance on isolating and managing your symptoms.
  • Documentation of illness and the completion of all forms have been suspended until further notice. Please use the Illness Self-Declaration Form.

Visit our Mental Health Resources page under ‘Remote Resources’ for more support during this disruption to in-person counselling services.
