General Ethics Guidelines

The General Ethics Guidelines provide you with comprehensive information for conducting ethical research involving human participants. It outlines principles and procedures that ensure the integrity and safety of your research projects. 

Informed Consent Guidelines

The Informed Consent Guidelines walks you through how to obtain informed consent from human participants and what should be included in an informed consent form. We provide you with the template and the guidelines to complete the statement. 

Templates

Find common research ethics and complaince templates that you can use for your project: 

  • Informed Consent: A standard informed consent form. 
  • Child Assent: For gathering informed consent from participants under 16 years old.
  • Debriefing Form: To explain the true purpose of the research activities when deception or partial disclosure is used.
  • PREP & LSRPS Recruitment: To recruit participants from the Laurier SONA platforms.
  • Email Recruitment: To recruit participants through email.
  • Poster Recruitment: To recruit participants passively in physical locations or online.
  • Telephone Recruitment: To recruit participants over the phone.
