The Honours French program consists of a minimum of 20.0 credits, of which at least 14.0 must be at the senior level. Students must take at least 10.0 but no more than 12.0 credits in French, at least 9.0 of which must be senior.
In addition to the requirements above (9.0 credits):
An additional 10.0 credits for the degree total of 20.0 credits; only 2.0 credits may be FR.
The Combined Honours French Program consists of a minimum of 20.0 credits, of which at least 14.0 must be at the senior level. A minimum of 8.0 FR credits are required, at least 7.0 of which must be senior.

In addition to the requirements above (7.0 credits)
An additional 12.0 credits toward the degree total of 20.0 credits, which includes the second Honours BA major.
Resources
The Honours BA in Languages consists of 20.0 credits, including a minimum of 14.0 credits must be at the senior level, and including a minimum of 15.5 credits from Categories A and B. The 15.5 credits are as follows:
The Department of Languages and Literatures recommends that students participate in the third year abroad program, which can be arranged through Laurier International.
An Honours Bachelor of Arts program consits of a minimum of 20 credits, of which at least 14.0 credits must be at the senior level.
Among these credits, the Honours Bachelor of Arts in Spanish program requires 9.0 senior credits from Categories A and B:
A) Language, Linguistics, and Translation:
A minimum of 2.5 and maximum of 6.5 credits from the following:
At U of Waterloo: SPAN290, SPAN301A, SPAN301B, SPAN390, SPAN395, SPAN490.
B) Literature, Culture, and Visual Arts:
A minimum of 2.5 and maximum of 6.5 credits from the following:
Remaining credits, to reach a minimum total of 20.0 credits overall, from additional Spanish courses or other areas of the department and university. These credits may form part of another program, option or minor.
Program Notes:
The requirements are the same as for Honours BA in Spanish except that a minimum of 7.0 senior credits from Categories A & B in Spanish.

Remaining credits, to reach a minimum total of 20.00 credits overall, from additional Spanish courses or other areas of the department and univeristy. These credits may form part of another program, option or minor. Remaining credits must also fulfill requrements for second major.
