Sexual Violence Resources

There are options available to you if you have experienced sexual violence. To discuss these options, or for assistance with referrals, safety planning, or advocacy, please contact Laurier’s Sexual Violence Support Advocate Sarah Scanlon.

Immediate medical assistance is available at Waterloo Region Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Treatment Centre at St. Mary's General Hospital. This is a 24-hour service for women over 16. You can contact them by phone weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at 519.749.6994, or access them directly at the emergency departments of St. Mary's General Hospital or Cambridge Memorial Hospital.

24-7 phone support is available through Sexual Assault Support Centre of Waterloo Region’s 24-hour Support Line. You can reach them at 519.741.8633.

Immediate medical assistance is available through the Brant Community Health Care System, Sexual Assault Team. To access their services you can visit the hospital or call 519.751.5544 x4449.

24-7 crisis phone support is available by calling the Sexual Assault Centre of Brant at 519.751.3471.
