As an academic advisor, I'm committed to ensuring that every student I advise has the tools and knowledge they need to thrive as they progress through their university experience. I provide guidance and information to our online Public Safety students, including degree requirements, curriculum, and relevant regulations and procedures in relation to their academic success. I take a holistic approach, which means I not only assist students with their academic needs, but also connect students online supports so their personal, educational, and health-related needs are considered.
I graduated from Laurier with a BA in Communications and Contemporary Studies, and I am actively pursuing my MEd. As a proud alumna, I began working at Laurier right after I graduated in the summer of 2008. Prior to my Advising career I served as a student awards and examinations specialist, financial aid administrator, coordinator: academic development and assessment and academic advisor (on campus).
My interests include my dog, Rex, who is a miniature dachshund and travelling to tropical islands.
