Student Employment

The Mathematics Department hires undergraduate Laurier students as instructional assistants for laboratory sessions and as markers and/or proctors.

There are also opportunities for both employed and volunteer positions with Mathematics and Course Support.

Lab Instructional Assistants

The Department of Mathematics is currently accepting applications for both Spring (May to Aug.) and Fall (Sept. to Dec.) Instructional Assistant positions in the mathematics, statistics, and data science labs. If you are interested in applying for a position in either term (or both), please complete the Math IA online application form before the deadline on Sunday, March 30th, 2025.

If you have any questions regarding the position or the application process, contact mathlabs@wlu.ca.

Markers and Proctors

The department employs senior students on a piecework basis to proctor midterm tests and to mark assignments, quizzes and midterm tests in many of its courses. These opportunities are emailed to mathematics majors as needed.
