The Laurier registration system is LORIS and the UW registration system is Quest. Students of the BBA/BMath and BBA/BCS programs have access to both registration systems. You must match your registrations on LORIS and Quest each academic term throughout the program.
For years 1 to 3, the BU courses are assigned as an integrated set on LORIS and cannot be changed. For years 4 and 5, registration in the applicable BU core courses is at your discretion using LORIS.
Laurier Course: Registration Changes (i.e., BU387 or EC260)
You are only officially registered in a Laurier course and section as it appears on LORIS. Changing your registration in a Laurier course on Quest does not hold true (not official).
Any change must occur first on LORIS within all posted Laurier academic dates for the term. Quest must then be used to match the registration change completed on LORIS.
UW Course: Registration Changes (i.e., STAT231 or CS330)
You are only officially registered in a UW course and section as it appears on Quest. Changing your registration in a UW course on LORIS does not hold true (not official).
Any change must occur first on Quest within all posted UW academic dates for the term. LORIS must then be used to match the registration change completed on Quest.
Using LORIS to Match UW Course Offerings
Open LORIS and select “Register for Classes”.
Select the appropriate “Term” and “Search” by subject.
Most UW subjects will have a UW prefix (i.e. UW-Computer Science). Some UW courses such as MATH237 will be found under the subject Mathematics and ENGL109 are found under the subject English.
- All UW courses have a W listed at the end of the course code on LORIS (i.e. MA237W).
- UW online courses are recognized by *T on LORIS.
- UW in-person (on-campus) courses are recognized by *0 on LORIS.
- LORIS does not record UW course sections (i.e. 001 or 002) or UW course times/rooms/professors.
- Once the appropriate UW course is found on LORIS please ADD.
- For any UW course that cannot be found on LORIS for a given term, please contact ddreconciliation@wlu.ca for assistance.
