Returning Student Program Requirements
Program-specific requirements for each specialization and the university grading system can be found on your program page or in the official academic calendar. If there is any discrepancy between the requirements listed on your program page and the requirements in the academic calendar, the calendar is the official version.
Program requirements may change. Final approval for courses is passed through Senate at the end of May, so check in June to see if your course selections are affected. It is your responsibility to make sure you are up-to-date on your program's progression requirements. Academic Advising is available to review your specific program requirements.
All registered students in years 1 through 3 will be automatically confirmed in their current academic program on LORIS for registration in the next academic year.
Highly competitive programs have special considerations and require submission of a Program Transfer Form. Highly competitive programs include:
- Business Technology Management
- Digital Media and Journalism
- Game Design and Development
- Bachelor of Social Work
Note: BBA and BBA double degrees transfer requests are submitted through LORIS between mid-May and mid-June.
Note: Late requests for program changes are continuously being approved.
In mid-June, you can log in to LORIS to check your official grades and the decision regarding your program declaration under the "Record of Course Work" area (select the winter term for the year). For additional information regarding academic standing please visit the academic calendar.
If you did not meet the requirements of the program you confirmed for fall/winter, you will be placed in a program that you are currently eligible. For example, if you have selected "Honours Psychology" but did not meet the honours major GPA requirements you will be automatically placed in "Honours Arts." If you wish to revise this choice and are eligible for another program, submit the Program Selection Form.
Note: Not all programs can be changed through the Program Selection Form.
