Orientation Week

Orientation Week at Laurier is a long-standing tradition that kick-starts your time as a Golden Hawk. Senior students, called icebreakers, will guide you through your first week at Laurier while introducing you to the campus community and campus culture.

Orientation week runs in September and has something for everyone.

Organized by the Students’ Union, Orientation Week includes:

  • Faculty receptions and sessions to introduce you to key advisors and program resources.
  • A "get involved" fair to help you connect with campus clubs and activities.
  • Large-scale evening entertainment such as:
    • concerts
    • headphone discos
    • carnivals

Find out more about this year's Orientation Week by visiting the Students’ Union Orientation Week website.

Transfer / Mature / Off-Campus Students

Orientation Week is included in your transition and orientation fees and has sessions designed for all students – whether you're living on-campus, off-campus, transferring from another institution or a mature student.
